About Us

Florida Teenage Republicans are committed to helping Republican leaders get elected into office. Teenage Republicans have devoted thousands of hours helping Republican candidates in local, statewide, and national elections.

Our Federation has progressed from being one of the smaller federations in the nation to being one of the largest and most influential. We have sent members to the national Teenage Republican Leadership Conference on four occasions. We have gained national attention by bringing home awards from the National convention.

The Florida Federation of Teenage Republicans, although having existed throughout the 1980's and early 1990's, officially reorganized in 2005. Erika Barger was elected the first Chairman of FFTARs. She was followed by Steven Munoz (2006), Travis Clinger (2007-2009), and Jacob Engels (2009-2010). At the most recent State Convention in June, 2010, Dustinn Keeling was elected Chairman.

Senior advisors have played a major role in guiding the actions of FFTARs. These have included: Jennifer Houston (2006-2007), Fulton Lewis (2007-2009), and Harold Rutledge (2009-2010). At its June, 2010 State Convention, FFTARs elected Fulton Lewis to another term.  FFTARs has progressed from being one of the smaller federations in the nation to one of the largest, most active and most influential.
